Project Highlight: 1MW Electric Heater System

Pantechnic successfully delivered a custom skid-mounted system to support and operate 1 MW Schniewindt electrical heaters on the remote island of Agios Efstratios. This project formed part of a broader effort to enhance the island’s sustainable energy infrastructure.

Our scope covered the complete mechanical and electrical integration of the heaters, including:

  • Piping and support frames, carefully designed for compactness and durability.
  • Electrical provisions and control systems, ensuring safe and stable operation.
  • Automation and safety features, aligned with client requirements and international standards.

The system was engineered as a self-contained skid, enabling easy transportation, quick installation, and seamless connection to the island’s energy facilities.

Commissioning was carried out in two stages:

  • During the first visit, our engineers performed thorough inspections, installed protective measures, and successfully brought the heaters up to full power.
  • In the second stage, we completed control upgrades and fine-tuned the PID, ensuring stable temperature control and long-term reliability.

The result is a robust, efficient, and cost-effective heating solution, providing a reliable high-power electric heating system that can operate smoothly in demanding conditions. The project demonstrates Pantechnic’s ability to deliver turnkey engineered solutions—from design and fabrication to on-site commissioning—tailored to each client’s operational and environmental needs.
